All hypnosis is self-hypnosis and always requires your full cooperation, compliance, and desire for your positive outcome. Of course you cannot be hypnotized to do anything you don't wish to do. Old time Classic Hollywood "I have you under my control" has it all wrong. That was a fun and entertaining way to think about hypnotism. But it's just not true.
April has been studying the brain, psychology, and metaphysics and using hypnosis since 1993. She holds her hypnotism certifications from Desert Canyon Institute and the International Hypnosis Federation as well as her early metaphysical mind body spirit connection and Transpersonal Hypnosis training from the Foundation for Inner Light in Tiburon of Marin County, CA from the early 1990s. Her additional graduate studies include the Masters and PhD instruction at CIIS: California Institute for Integral Studies in psychology, philisophy, and spirituality. She is also a member of two leading professional hypnotist associations IHF - International Hypnosis Federation, IACH - International Association of Clinical Hypnotherapists and the Fellowship of Christian Hypnotists.
April leads hypnosis workshops for the general public to utilize in all areas of their lives, personal, professional, health and goal achievement in leading area Southern California Orange County and Los Angelses County Community Colleges Community Education Centers: MiraCosta College, Orange Coast College, Saddleback College, and Los Angeles Harbor College.
April Braswell, has been sought after and advising men and women about dating, relationship coaching, and intimate love since 2002 after walking alongside her late husband through his battle with cancer. Having lived out marital commitment herself and inspiring singles and couples alike with their intimacy and courage, she knew her calling once widowed was to foster truly intimate relationships and help people to realize the lives they could imagine.
Having worked in corporate America at multiple international Fortune 500 Silicon Valley companies, April brings her practical professional business perspective to helping clients to increase the successes in their lives. She synthesizes her business perspective with spiritual and emotional approaches.
April is noted for her warmth, her compassion, and sense of humor in how she helps her clients realize their dreams and desires.
April is a graduate of the largest all-women’s college, Smith College, for whom she has served as the San Francisco College Club’s President, bringing many of its activities and alumnae networking to Social Media like LinkedIn, Facebook, Plaxo, Yahoo! Groups, and Evite. Additionally, she is active with the Web 2.0/Social Networking community in Silicon Valley. She has trained with best-selling author and world-knowned Body Language expert, Kevin Hogan, Emeritus Professor of Psychology, University of Arkansas and author, Dr. Eric Knowles, Cognative Behavioral Therapsit, Maxy Maulsby and Persuasion author, Dave Lakhani. Additionally, she has studied with gurus Mark Victor Hanson and Elsom Eldridge, Jr. of the National Guild of Hypnotists.
She holds additional certifications in Conscious Channeling: accessing your own inner guide and wisdom from the Foundation of Inner Light, Marin County, and Grief Recovery Specialist by the Grief Recovery Institute in Sherman Oaks.
